Can Marvin overcome a massive 15 pound weight disadvantage on fight night and beat Tarver?

What a terrible fight for Hagler. Tarver points in a boring fight

There you go Tarver would outweigh him by 25 pounds!

I've got Tarver but I wouldn't be surprised if Marvin found a way. Nobody's getting knocked out in this one.

Johnson was able to pressure and defeat Tarver on close scorecards.

I've no doubt that Hagler can replicate the success with an added 15 pounds.

I thought the first fight was a robbery and Tarver looked noticeably more prepared for the rematch.

Maybe so, but anyway you put it, Hagler is on another level over Johnson.

He never had a single fight above 160. He's an unknown in this match.

Very true. But it's not like Tarver was an elite lightheavy either. He lost to a past it Jones, and was beaten by Johnson there as well.

It wasn't a robbery but it could have gone either way.

Tarver certainly didn't look comfort with pressure of Johnson in the first fight.

I was in attendance with a good seat. I don't remember anyone there thinking Johnson won.

Not sure how that's relevant, other than me being happy you go to be ringside at a big fight.

What if Hagler is a Wilfredo Gomez?

That would require Tarver to be a Nelson of Sanchez.
