Hagler normally boxed anyway, but spent more time here on the backfoot than usual as opposed to how he normally used lateral movement. He showed his versatility here though, he also did good work in the exchanges.
I hate the myth a lot of fans have, that Hagler was a brawler or something. He was an excellent boxer. It's a shame that the Hearns fight has typecast him as some face first, take two to land one, brawler.
