Marvin Hagler vs. Bernard Hopkins (picture) who wins?

Marvin wins 116-112 and it wouldn't be pretty.

 

I think Bernard Hopkins takes this. I think Hopkins at his best was one of the most complete fighters I've ever seen. Hagler was a good switch hitter but Hopkins never had trouble with southpaws and I think that's a big key, plus he's one of the best techinicans at taking away a fighters jab. So if we take the Hopkins from the Trinidad fight and put him in the ring with say the early hagler from the bennie brico days, it would be a hell of a fight, with no knockdowns. I'd take Hopkins in a close fight, 116-113.

Glad to see Nard getting some props. I think he wins this too.

Nobody is having an easy time with Hopkins at MW, SRR included. (I think Robinson loses to Hagler, but not Hopkins)

 

Hagler would make it an inside brawl. No boxing for Bernard. It would be the worst night of BHop's life.

 

Although i've often changed my opinion on who would win this fight i've finally come to the conclusion Hopkins would have been able to impose his size on Hagler like no one before him and eek out a decision.

I go back and forth on who I think would win this. One thing is for sure though. It would be one of the worst fights to watch ever.

Hagler takes it IMO.

But it would be a back and forth battle.

Hagler has to take bombs on the way in, Hopkins wouldn't mind if it becomes an in-fight. However, even though if BHop is a great in-fighter, Hagler will outwork him on the inside.
