Marvin Hagler vs. Bernard Hopkins (picture) who wins?

Good attempt but Hopkins ain't even paying attention to him. Probably got his mind on the calzaghe decision still.

 

People seriously underate Hopkins.


He is a much better defensive boxer than given credit for. And he would neutralize 80% of what Hagler does from the outside.


Hagler catches him in transition (in or out) and tries to outwork him. Other than that, Hopkins works him on the inside. I still see an ugly narrow decision for Hop.

 

When did Hopkins and Hagler spar? Or was it a charity match? I have never seen these photos before, very interesting, thanks for posting.

Hagler by UD. bhop ain't no SRL speed.

 

Bhop Loses to Hearns, gets in a tough fight with Mugabi and Duran . . . well its Duran.

I get a kick out of people think of MMH as some unskilled faced first Brawler. I think the guy is the GOAT @ MW. and put an epic beating on Bhop who's old school tricks will not work on this old school fighter

 

The opposite is true as well.

 

I'd favor Hagler to get a little more in and take a tough, very competitive decision in a grueling fight.
