Fighters cut weight back in Hagler's day, too, chief. They didn't walk around at the same weight they fought. Sure, they may not have enjoyed the same ridiculous advantage that today's fighters are allowed, as they actually cut weight while remaining in fighting shape, but a guy like Hagler was perennially in shape, shredded to the core come fight time and I doubt he'd have fought any lower than 154 in this day and age.

i'll take hagler....hopkins career middleweight reign was LONGGGGG but his biggest wins are that of former welterweight champs. and when he finally unified the title after 5 or 7 years, it was keith holmes , welterweights dlh, trinidad. and he beat dlh after dlh was schooled by sturm

i think it'll be a war but hopkins would impose his size on hagler... unlike how hearns did it...it'll be a close fight but i think hopkins wins by UD... 7-5
