This seems to get discussed quite often on boxing forums which i think is ridiculous, Hagler would have 100% no doubt won. I think a more appropriate question to ask on the subject is do you think Graham was capable of taking Hagler the distance?

No, he couldn't go 4 rounds with Julian Jackson so how could he go the distance with the 10 times more skilled and better all round boxer Hagler?

Hagler never beat anyone with the evasive skill of Graham and had problems with the more skilled defensive boxer movers including his loss to the past prime smaller Leonard.

Graham would have given him a very close tactical fight down to the wire and Hagler is no pressure fighter and not a seek destroy type some mistake him for

Given all Graham's skills, Hagler would inevitably take him out. He just had too much of everything.

Hagler wins IMO, but it's far from certain that he does it by KO. Hagler had the skill to exploit Graham's flaws often enough over 15 rds to win a decision, but that doesn't mean he KO's him. Just because Jackson did, doesn't mean Hagler would anymore than Hearns KO of Duran translated into something similar for Hagler.

Irrelevant, Graham was schooling Jackson before the KO.And Hagler didnt have the same power. Infact noone did.
I think Graham could possibly last the distance with mid 80's version of Hagler. He would lose however quite handily.

Not only capable of taking him the distance, but also giving him a very, very difficult fight.Hagler's tenacity and conditioning would most likely serve well down the stretch, but Graham is more than capable of giving him fits and running him close.

In fairness to Herol, in respect to the Jackson defeat, one could say it was one of those terribly unlucky, Zigged when Shoulda Zagged, Moments, being a bit more cruel, one could say he played tactical russian roulette with a man with a Cannon. who made his own luck, when another cautious Pick and Poke round and the win would of been his,. Likewise not much store can be put against Marvins defeats to Worm Monroe, Boogaloo, or Leonard, Marvin was developing in the philly defeats, and Showing slowing in the Leonard career ending fight

I do wonder about Herols durability against a top notch Middle who can not only get inside, but stay inside throwing bombs, I never had those concerns with Herol at Lt-Middle, most of Herol Career was spent making boxers miss, and frustrating them countering them, and using their hesitancy against them,
Marvin will not miss, and spend time musing and realigning, The Marvin that came at Minter, Chopped down Obel, and of course Smoked Hearns will i feel soon close that "No Man's Land" will drag Herol into trench warfare...and Herol, the Gorilla Raid specialist, will not be able to enforce the sporadic sqermishes he favours, he will find himself on open ground, and the target of Marvins big Guns, the only Fox-Holes he can find are the Mid-Rounds Minutes rest periods, I dont think Herol has that Armour-Plating needed, Herol may try to lay down some Smoke Cover....but the winds blowing in the wrong direction for him here....Marvin circa 6th for me...

I predict Maxie Rosenbloom would of had George Chuvalo out of there inside four.

You clearly, like me, have managed to get the jacket off. Do you know that panel on far left of the cell is movable and the padding gives? You can then start to dig out. Hopefully we will meet, and get out of here together, and spread our wisdom to everyone.

i take hagler by possible late stoppage here or by clear ud how close this fight is if it goes to pts may possibly be down to where the judges are from i cant see many american judges scoring for a fighter of grahams ilk against hagler . but throw in a couple of european judges and if graham is on fire it maybe a lot closer should the fight go the distance

Herol would break his hands trying to punch Hagler's skull, while the bald badass bashes Herol's head in with thudding punches!

"I mean I couldn't believe how hard this man's head was, he had a hard head!" - Thomas Hearns when talking about his fight with Marvin

whislt Herol would make Hag look very bad over the course of the fight, Marv will inevitably catch up with him as the Bomber tires. Superfit punchers always took out the bomber in the end. Herol would be better against people who couldnt hit so hard. And thats coming from me, the late HerolGee.

I think herol would have given him a close awkward fight but hagler would have stopped him down the stretch. Also that logic that herol was knocked out by julian jackson and wouldnt be able to go any longer with hagler is ridiculous hagler had a tough gruelling battle with mugabi over 11rounds and terry norris ko'd mugabi in two minutes so by that logic norris is a better fighter than hagler?

    Marvin Hagler by 15-Round Decision.

Herol Graham had good movement, and very strong legs.

I believe it would be a slight change-up in styles, with Herol boxing more, and
    Marvin boxing more than slugging.
