Coming 20 miles away from where Joe lives I'd better be careful, but I think Hagler was better by far. He had more power, a better defence, and much harder punches. If Hopkins, Mitchell and Jones could all put Jo down, just think what a vintage Hagler (and vintage Jones) would do. There'd be no respite. If Joe managed to get up, he'd soon be back down, and would stay there.

Joe's a great fighter. Hagler was a genious.

not an easy fight at the slightest, since both guys are some what evenly matched. but i'd say hagler UD. hagler in his prime was one of the most well rounded fighters there has been. the guy was very active in terms of workrate, willing to trade, few weaknesses to exploit, pretty fast in his own right and ihad one of the best chins in the sport. i dont know how joe neutralizes that accurate, nonstop jab.
