This place is a joke. Joe Cal would never enter the ring with a fighter of Hagler's caliber, much less stand a chance of beating him.
Prime super Joe, this is one of the very rare times I would not take him to win this. Marvin, The greatest middleweight of all time, pulls it out.
It's stupid to give Hagler from the SRL fight as an example as he was obviously past it. If we are speaking prime for prime I think that Hagler will win a 8-4 type of competitive decision. Joe is good and big enough to last the distance and nick some rounds on the way.
they were mostly offered the Calzaghe fight first for much bigger money, but went for the easier fight instead. they soon came back for the Joe fight when they themselves had nothing to lose. they got dealt with. if you have no idea what you're talking about and don't know the ins and outs of what happened back then, then it's best to either ask questions, or not post at all. but it's what i've come to expect from incompetent Americans. :good
when it comes to fantasy fights, most have Joe when he was past prime but allow the other fighter to be in their prime. it's ****ing madness. too many people on this forum only saw Joe when he was past his best. it's incompetent to say the least. Joe would win by wide decision. no doubt in my mind.
go and look up a Middleweight going by name of Carlos Monzon. i'm sure you'll see yourself to be hideously wrong. :good
If it was a 15 round fight like they fought in Hagler's era... Hagler would wear Calzaghe down and knock him out past the 13th. If it was a 12 round fight, Calzaghe would probably slap his way to a decision by throwing a bunch of weak arm punches and slaps to steal the decision like he did against Hopkins. He would probably be busted up at the end of the fight and Hagler wouldn't even have a mark on his face but that's the way it is with the scoring sometimes favoring the pity pat guy.
