I think this is a great fight. Hagler was a solid tactian, and good switch hitter and had a good jab which is a key against fighters with speed. The good thing about this fight is Calzaghe would be able to keep up the pace throughout the fight, which would bring best out of the Marvelous one. I can see both fighters adapting to each others style throughtout the fight but Haglers aggression and strength I feel would pay a difference. I think Hagler stops Calzaghe late in the fight but a great fight it would be.

Hard to say, I know Hagler rated Joe highly & only a moron wouldnt rate Hagler high.

Im positive it goes the distance, no KO`s in this one.

    50/50 fight I think.

The Calzaghe haters will say " no contest, Hagler wins "....But since they know very little, I'd ignore it.....It goes either way.....

No he wouldn't. Calzaghe is a lot better than Alan Minter.

Hagler would be absoltely unaffected by Joe's slaps. We are talking about a guy who was only hurt once in his career.

I'm not gonna call Joe a bum, like some. I think he's an exceptional fighter. But I just don't think he would have quite the goods to beat Hagler. Beatdown? No. One-sided? Probably.

Depends on Calzaghes hands, it would be close ish if Calzaghes hands held up, I infact think that he could win.

But odds are he breaks his hands on Marvins hard head at some point and you do not want to be one handed trying to fight Hagler.

Well it depends upon two things in my view, how Hagler deals with the additional weight, and how Calzaghe's chin stands up.

Hagler should be favoured marginally IMO.

Please. Calzaghe is not stopping no Hagler, even the one that fought Sugar Ray.

calzaghes always going to get the short end of the stick here because of his poor resume in his prime. and its his own fault.

Name a single decent uncontroversial stoppage by Joe in his entire career.

Then ask yourself what that fighter has in common with Marvin Hagler.

Come back with your comments .. should be interesting to hear.

I see no way Calzaghe could do anything to Hagler. Hagler easy.

Hopkins-Hagler would be another close one.
