Roy Jones is the only fighter capable of attacking Calzaghe without being countered at Calzaghe's will. If Hagler went forwards he will be hit many, many times.

What are you basing this on? The Lacy fight...because of course, Hagler fights just like Lacy.

Kessler, Mitchell, Lacy, Hopkins (the few times he got brave), Brewer all picked off at will as were any other fighters stupid enough to go on the offensive against Calzaghe.

He had more problems with the negativity of Hopkins, Starie etc.

I wouldn't say "Hopkins was picked off at will". As for the rest of them I would dare to suggest that Hagler's aggression, if indeed that would be his plan, would be profoundly more effective than the rest of this bunch you mention. I personally would imagine Hagler employing similar style he took on for the MInter fight-a mixture of aggression and counterpunching his onrushing opponent.

Hagler is somewhat versatile so it is irrelevant. It just pains me to see someone pick Hagler over Calzaghe based on Hagler's agression. To be honest though it pains me to see anyone pick anything over Joe Calzaghe.

I like Hagler to start wearing Calzaghe down as the fight progresses into the later rounds. JC does not have enough power to discourage or slow Hagler down. I think Hagler will start to bust Calzaghe up and only JC's huge heart and excellent chin allow him to see the final bell. The Hagler of the Leonard fight would most likely lose to Calzaghe by decision. Any other version of Hagler beats him though.

    Hagler UD Calzaghe

Disagree with you there, re: Hagler being a brawler he wasn't.

Hagler wasn't a brawler, even after the first Vito draw when he said he won't leave it to the judges. He stayed more of a surgical boxer puncher, who would finish when the opportunity came. The only fight he brawled in was the Hearns fight. In the Mugabi fight he got hit more because he was slowing down, but still boxed.

Marvin was a culmulative puncher, though if he hurt someone he would try to seal the deal. If not would go back to boxer mode, his right jab was a damaging jab partly because he was a natural righty, fighting as a soutpaw.

As too whether he would beat Calzaghe prime for Prime I think he would.

    Jeez i'm only a journeyman

    All good

he may be hit, but I doubt if Hagler would be hurt by calzaghe's punches. A prime Hagler would be willing to take a couple to land his more powerful punches. Hagler would most likely wear down Calzaghe with a punishing attack. Calzaghe would have to sting Marvin to gain a little breathing room or else Hagler would close the gap and deliver his own brutale punches.
