It has been implied Hagler could have rehydrated as much as 14 plus pounds after making 160 earlier in the day. He also took shots from Hearns, who was described as a cruiser weight. So let's put him in with some one his own size. A 178 pound Marciano. As we know, Marciano's weight didn't fluculate, he was always at the optimium efficiency which varied, and this is one of the times it happened to be 178. Can Hagler win a fair fight with an equal sized man?
First of all I don't think they'd be equal in weight, or size, and secondly of all, no he can't beat Marciano, but he probably could go the distance with him.
Marciano is 178, Hagler might be 174 in the ring according to those arguing him over Canelo. So 4 pounds is not technically equal, depending, it might be called roughly equal unless that is already implied. Rocky could be an inch taller, but some say he was shorter than claimed. This is disputable. Hagler has a longer listed reach, so you are right in that regard. He is a little bigger.
actually this thread is very similar to the **** that janitor said. " some super middleweights would beat david tua", the biggest **** i ever seen on here
So Hagler was a true light heavyweight, Marciano almost a super middleweight and Golovkin beats anyone who ever lived.
Rocky Marciano weighed 178 for several fights and this is one of those nights....as explained. I understand, the possibility of Hagler and Marciano weighing within a few pounds of each other could be upsetting for fans of both fighters for reasons too numerous to list...but here we are.
Another senseless thread. Hagler is a middleweight and Marciano is a .... General Forum is this way.
What is Marciano? At 178 he is in the same range as several modern middleweights like Rubio and Canelo. In the Canelo thread, it was suggested Hagler could be over 170 in the ring. You may not want to think about this one, the ideas could be dangerous.
