Good point - Hearns set the aggressive tone - which gave Hagler cause to reciprocate with interest.

 

My first instinct says Jones by decision. Too much speed. But Hagler's tenacity was legendary, and I wouldn't rule out him wearing RJJ down late. Not one I would want to bet on, personally. Too close to call.

See the thing about fundamentals is that they're fundamentals, they are basics, and in boxing people are very experimentative and test new metas and the unorthodox. Roy Jones is very akward for a very fundamental boxer and saying somebody has better fundamentals is just not a very good argument bro. Who has Hagler fought that had an akward, and not just akward yet very fast style. Yeah he fought Ray, Ray pretty fast but he lost a controversial decision, okay yeah that was controversial but SRL nowhere near as fast as RJJ, and RJJ attacks at weird angles, Hagler's defense is not fit to block such unusual angles. Hagler loses a wide UD. Also saying his jab and reach would be a problem is also a bad argument since Roy reach is literally more than Hagler's, Roy the bigger fighter too, and yes size does matter if your opponent is very skillfull. Jones jab also faster than Hagler's so I don't see why Hagler's jab would be a problem.

 

You can say all you want about roids but I don't think all the PED's in the world could make me move at half the speed of Roy Jones. RJJ only got tested for PED's later in his career, never earlier. Also you just tryna rage bait people by saying Hagler would KO Roy when you give no clear evidence. KO a prime Roy might be the most difficult thing someone can do in boxing, it is damn near impossible to KO a prime Roy because he had an underrated Chin and those reflexes are lightning fast.

 

Yeah but prime Hagler never fought anyone even close to Roy, you were fascinated by a Hagler who was defeating mediocore guys. Now watch entire tapes of Roy Jones and tell me that a slow Hagler could even touch Roy.

Yeah at 160, 160 is not peak Roy, so what's your point?? Hagler not even close to the level of B-Hop and JT and Roy demolished them. Roy Jones would knock down Hagler.

 

Timing kills speed, but Roy has both speed and timing, oh double the trouble. Roy Jones range is not as long as Hearn's but Roy is a better boxer than Hearns and Roy's reach more than Hagler's, so imagine a boxer who is fast and can use reach very well. That inside speed argument is also not valid because Roy Jones speed does not limit to range, Roy could throw a punch from 3 miles away and you still couldn't see it coming, Roy Jones has sniper range speed, fast inside, fast outside, and that outside speed along with Roy Jone's timing makes him a super dangerous matchup for Hagler. Roy Jones outside speed and timing along with his lightning fast reflexes would prevent Hagler from testing his chin, and RJJ chin is not that bad either, not good, but he had a above average chin due to his traps size.

 

Stop it, Hagler is not stopping Roy, only time Hagler stops Roy is if Roy is 38 years old.

 

Hagler is not stopping Roy, you don't put the words "stopping" and "Roy Jones" in the same sentence unless Roy is winning. Roy Jones speed is too fast. Roy Jone's punch faster than Leonard and can hit harder than Hearns, Hagler has never faced anyone like Roy, and Roy faced someone similar to Hagler. James Toney is counterpuncher with a chin who never gets stopped with good defense. Imagine being so good you can clown of James ****ing Toney, you must've forgot SMH.

 

Jones can beat Hagler in this universe, let alone other universe LOL what you on about?
