Hearns in the mid 80`s was far better than anybody Roy fought at 160.

Roy didn`t land much on B-hop because unlike Toney he was able to close the disance on Roy, Hagler was far beter than B-hop was at that stage and would have toyed with Tate, no comparison.

    And??

That means that Marvin would have beaten Roy?

His hand speed was better than most of Roy`s opponents and his jab was long and fast.

Nobody has mentioned Marvin fighting Tate.

    Okay.

    Was it faster than Roy's?

Hagler would have an inch reach advantage over Roy and would make it count because he threw more jabs than Roy did, which is the longest punch in terms of reaching further, being nearer the opponent because it`s his lead hand, Roy never fought a southpaw as savvy as Marvin.

Fundamentals and feints out-do athleticism everytime.

Seeing as though Roy dominated for 15 years, that's clearly not the case.

And Marvin never fought a 170 plus pound fighter with the speed that Roy had.

Hearns punched harder than any middle in the 80`s and had a longer reach than any middle, maybe his welter chin let him down is what you`re saying, no middle could have gone toe to toe with Marvin for two rounds until the third the way Hearns did, don`t bring up Mugabi, because when he went toe to toe he got hit more than Hearns, the war was competitive until Hearns hurt his right hand.

Do you think Roy would have weighed 170 at 160 come fight time?

Hagler would have taken shots at 175 better than Roy did.

Nobody Roy fought was as offensively skilled as Hagler, nor did they have his long jab and feints.

    Yes.

Marvin used to sometimes weigh-in at 157 pounds.
