Much appreciated. I can tell by how much you post in GB you're a real hardcore heavy around the boxing scene. I'll try not to be too intimidated a grand master like yourself saw it for Leonard. :rofl :rofl :rofl

I said as much. That's exactly right. Awareness differs, comprehension levels differ, however. Does everything exist? Why yes, it does. Nobody's worried about what you dismiss. Don't worry about anyone else. You sure are a fan, eh fluxstuff? The only times I ever see you around here you're responding to my posts. Literally. Easy... And again, bud, you're just a step behind that clever little noodle of yours. I'm not disputing the judges scores, I'm disputing the findings of boxing fans who can watch this fight, and in between rounds jerk off to porn if they so choose. Did you miss the FANS part of it, smart guy? Figure it the **** out. If you want to keep up with this interfacing respond and make adjustments. This is the second or third time I've layed you out in text and you've come back unfazed as if you know better. Son, I've already powdered and diapered you, so I expect you to adjust. I've never "read" your ****, no need to tell me about where you stopped reading. Let's be real for a goddamn minute. LOL

LOL, now this is my kind of guy right here. ^ That's how it's done. Strong. I completely disagree of course, but this is exactly the right stuff.

Two moments stick out of boxers in denial- Lennox's interview after the Klitch fight, and Haglers dance.

Yes, but those examples are not Lewis and Hagler.

They are Vic Darchinyan after fighting Nonito Donaire, and Marlon Starling after fighting Tomas Molinares.

Leonard rannnnnn that fight and ran away with a victory, if they were both in their primes hagler would've caught him up and taken him out of there because Duran caught him a few times but duran is no hagler

Leonard won this fight prior the participants stepping into the ring. Hagler clearly the aggressor the whole fight but not as accurate as usual. He allowed Leonard to get off shots (albeit pillow shots) and rack up points every round near the end of every round. So most close rounds I would've scored a draw I have to give to leonard those rounds. Hagler was outsmarted going into this fight and that's the reason he lost this fight.

Wish Hagler had taken the rematch when Leonard finally offered one in 1990. Still think even then Hagler would have won it.

I would say Leonard used good lateral movement at vital times as opposed to running, the only rd were I thought Ray was using too much movement (running, if you prefer) was in rd 12. I felt he could have gold stamped his victory by winning the last rd clearer, I thought he edged it anyway.

Now - in their primes.... if Leonard fought the same way he fought Duran in the 1st fight then yes, I think Hagler would be too big & strong in the later rds for Ray & win clearly on pts, he wont KO SRL, you better believe that.

BUT - if the prime Leonard that fought Duran in the 2nd fight showed up using that style then I think we would have pretty much a re-run of the actual fight between SRL & MMH except both would be quicker & sharper - its not only Marvin who would be sharper, Ray wasnt primed in 87 either you know.

Actual fight in 1987... Leonard W12 Hagler (7-5)

In their primes in 82/83.... Leonard W15 Hagler (8-6-1)

    :thumbsup

I've watched this fight so many times, and every single time I watched it, I've scored it for Hagler (including when I originally watched it when I was 11).

It was close, and a lot of rounds could be argued either way.

I'm not even sure that I scored it the exact same way everytime, but I always came up with 7 rounds to 5 in favor of Hagler.

There were a few close rds & if you give MMH those rds then he wins the fight & if you give SRL those rds then he wins the fight & if you split them then either man can get the nod tho probably Leonard as I had him winning more clear-cut rds.

At the end of the day - it was a close fight that was hard to score in some rds but its embarassing to think that this is arguably the most contraversial decision in boxing history - this was not a `robbery` no matter who ended up with the vedict as it was too close.

I can understand Hagler & his fans not being at all pleased about losing the biggest fight of his life but in all honesty, both he & they have gone WAY over the top with this, bad loser doesnt even begin to cut it here... 21 ****in yrs later & there are still complaints over a close fight, unbelievable.
