Hagler is much more skilled than Tiger and far more versatile. I think he comprehesively outboxes him from the outside.
Tough one...If hes disciplined and fights a smart fight like he did against Briscoe I got Hagler. If he really gets into the trenches like he did in parts of the Antuofermo and Mugabi bouts then all bets are off I'll lean towards Tiger.
For sure. Hagler is a bit too multi faceted here i think. He loves a straight forward opponent even if it would be extremely hard fought.
Tiger has 19 losses, 2 by KO. Hagler has 3 losses, has arguably never been off his feet and is so tough he took Hearns' best punch and Hearns broke his hand on him. I'd say Hagler is tougher. Edit: actually now that I look at Tiger's record I can't find the 2nd KO. It seems boxrec might be wrong?
Hagler by close decision. He's a good boxer in his prime, but never untouchable. Tiger tests him here.
Hagler by wide dec, if not late stoppage Tiger's style is tailor made for Hagler and what he looked best against come forward brawlers/punchers.
Marv wins a hard fought decision . Tiger give s Hagler one of his tougher fight s and hes relieved to hear the decision in his favor.
Yeah, also fair enough Foster was a truly murderous puncher, I don't think anybody Hagler faced could hit as hard as him.
