True, but GGG has yet fo fight a Hearns or a Duran or a SRL and appears in no hurry to do so.

Even so, he's so much fun to watch that people wouldn't ***** about that so much if his fans didn't go around saying he's better than than Hopkins and Toney and Hagler and Duran, etc...

 

Erase Bumlovkin's three best opponents and he becomes less than irrelevant...

 

He fought some very, very solid fighters at MW outside of Duran, Leonard and Hearns.

His first win against Hamsho is one I rate highly considering Hamsho was arguably the #1 rated MW contender at the time. He also fought Minter and Antuofermo, 2 top tier MW's in the late 70's post Monzon.

The Marvelous one had a very tough road to just get a title shot, and he was robbed horrifically in his first shot at it. He didn't make that mistake the second time around, and than went on one of the greatest runs in MW history.

I almost forgot, after that war with Hearns, he actually took on Mugabi who was a killer in his own right at the time. He fought very solid opposition throughout the late 70's into the mid 80's.

So many have no idea of what they are talking about. Hagler is a proven ATG fighter. GGG has not even been tested yet! We need to see what GGG is made of before he could ever be placed alongside a caliber a fighter like Hagler. Boxing 101 for the many uninformed.
