Was his title fight with Root, the last heavyweight championship finish fight? When exactly did his vision go bad? I've never seen Hart on film, not even sparring. Is there any?
I guess I'll have to buy the book! I do think Hart vs Root was the last heavyweight championship finish fight, and believe there is no film on Hart, not even in sparring.
Dont' think any fight film exists & Not sure on when eyesight - tried looking on chronicling america and kentucky newspapers Pollack's book states it was 1st fight since Corbett vs Fitzsimmons in 1897 but would have to read to see if any mention of last ever for title. Thanks for the research and reply. While there is no film on Hart, there is some on Root. I must say Root looks pretty good, and might surprise a few people here who have not seen him.
