i would have to agree with fleaman this would end up a painful night`s work for johnson ko foster 7th
And then some. I rate Johnson but he wasn't even the best of the 70's/early 80's LHW ensemble. It takes a seriously good fighter like Ezzard Charles to even make me consider Foster losing on his best night at Light-Heavy.
And I rate Johnson. I put his name forward for the LHW tourney here over 'old-timers' such as Gene Tunney because I feel Johnson would have a better chance against some of the better H2H names in the tourney (which will start once The Fly, Middle and Light tourneys finish) But Foster will stop him. No doubt in my mind.
Any Lt heavy who style is to come foward - and is hittable - has a prescipition for disaster against Foster, Bob seemed to like the 4th round, a couple of rounds of feeling out and softening up with the snakelike jab, before the big guns arrive, Dick Tiger (of Course) Andy Kendal and Hal TNT Carroll were Good infighters and Mike Quarry started getting a bit frisky with Bob too, they all went out in the 4th, - i cant help but think Marvin goes the same way.
Foster by ko in middle rounds (I'm picturing something like the Tiger ending). Just a bad, bad matchup for Johnson.
