adamek is not a natural 217 pounder , he is a natural cruiser. marvis frazier was better fighter, simply he fought in a better era. he would beat adamek by decision.

I can't say I would be able to call a Marvis Frazier-Tomasz Adamek with any certainty at all. Glad to see that there are people who are more sure of their opinions...

Marvis Frazier did manage to get a win over James "bonecrusher" Smith as many have already commented on.. But it wasn't an easy or clear victory. Smith had Frazier down in that fight and it went to the cards. Bonecrusher was a respectable heavyweight, but limited in mobility, older for a guy with such few fights and not very skilled. The only great all around heavyweight puncher who he fought was Tyson who demolished him in 30 seconds.. Now, I realize that there aren't any men around right now who are like Tyson, but again Marvis only lasted half a minute against him, and this was a 19 or 20 year old pre-title version of Mike. As I said earlier in this thread, Frazier's boxing ability might win him a few decent bouts, but I don't see him as going very far up the ranks.

How about Marvis vs. the likes of Tony Thompson, Kevin Johnson, Alex Leapai, Denis Boytsov, Jonathan Banks, Alexander Ustinov, Jean Marc Mormeck, etc.?

Marvis would have a tougher time today...I don't think you could make the top 10 with 10 fights nowadays but then again Solis has 14 fights...still Marvis may to be able to beat Tim Austin and may not but would have a hard time vs the rest and I cant see him dodging the bullets before he gets to the K's...Povetkin beats him as do a lot of the younger guys

No. Adamek is the better boxer / fighter and looks fit at a pumped 217.. Frazier hangs tuff, but is still outta his element...

He beats all of those except for Boytsov; who while only tested against bums, seems to bring good power with decent speed, which would be quite hard for Marvis to avoid.

Marvis packed more substance in those 10 fights than the majority of recent title challengers.

    my bad BE...
actually he will beat both Klit sisters and Haye and rule as a dominant HW champion over all of these bums.

    And you know why?
Because he fought in a much MUCH better HW era.

Ppl. actually take that guy over the likes of Adamek and haye..wow:lol:
