Has anyone seen this dude fight? He's only 22 with eleven wins all within the distance. 8 of which are proper KOs and not TKO's. I'm intrigued as to what this kid is like but I can't find any footage.

Can anyone shed some light on this guy?

Wow...it's rare to see young prospects put unbeaten records like that on the line so early and especially in Asia.

Props to his people and Tanada's.

Damn he's fighting an excellent opponent for his experience level in his next fight, and vice-versa.

'proper' ko's are no better than tkos. All it means is the ref completed the count. You can be brutally ko'd, with no chance of making the count, but if the ref waves it off instead of counting, it's a tko, or the ref can complete the 10 count on someone not out cold and on their feet, and if he deems he can't continue, it's a ko.

It was a question, not a factual statement, so keep your knickers on sunshine.

    You're only half right here.

Proper KOs are better than most TKOs, but not all.

Yes, a TKO can be essentially the same thing where someone is out cold and the ref just doesn't bother applying the count. TKO can also refer to quick wave-offs where the losers are still standing and intelligently defending themselves.

Generally speaking a KO looks better than a TKO. That's why it's a shame when abandoned counts where the fallen fighter is lying there unconscious are officially recorded as "TKO", as it carries less prestige.
