Was he the most talented japanese fighter ever?

And as far as Japanese fighters where do you rank him?

Masao was not yet at his zenith when he died but still ranks in the upper bracket of Japanese greats. His jab alone is one of the greatest in boxing hisstory.

I think Harada is the consensus number 1.

There were some talented Japanese flys such as Yoshio Shirai, Hiroyuki Ebihara, Susumu Hanagata, Shoji Oguma and Yoko Gushiken. And Ohba would be right there amongst them. I think I would rate only Ebihara above Ohba amongst Japanese flys.

I think you gotta rate Inoue when talking the most talented Japanese fighters.

Obah was excellent and had a big enough frame that it woulda been interesting to see him at bantam.

To me, Jiro Watanabe is the most talented of the japanese fighters, but Ohba was up there, an Great in a greater division, and he hadnt reached his peak.

His bout with Chionoi is amazing.
