Why the **** was Takuma Inoue vs. Tasana Salapat in the co-feature slot instead of Kenshiro Teraji vs. Saúl Juárez Gil??

Real world title fights ought to always take precedence over "interim" title fights, all other things being equal. If this were Naoya Inoue, that would be one thing (not that I agree with the practice, but at least I can understand pushing the guy that draws big crowds further up than his fight's merits deserve on paper), but I can't imagine Takuma has exponentially more domestic star power than Kenshiro does to justify the higher billing. Plus, even though he already has several losses, Baby Juárez is a perpetual contender and far more proven world class operator than Salapat was coming in.

Flat out it was just the better & worthier match-up to be televised. I don't understand.

More exposure to the younger Inoue? Wasn’t a bad fight but wanted to see Kenshiro... and your right, Interim should never be priority :ohno

Unbeaten footworker Ken Shiro (15-0, 8 Kos), 107.5, kept his WBC light-flyweight belt as he kept moving all night to avert the retaliation of Mexican Saul Juarez (24-9-2, 13 Kos), 108, and pounded out a lopsided decision over twelve fast rounds on Sunday in Tokyo, Japan. The official tallies were as follows: Steve Morrow (US) 120-108, Perla Rodriguez (US) and Jun-Bae Lim (Korea) both 119-109, all for the baby-faced champ who registered his fifth defense.

People behind WBO love to watch and to show to the world how russians are beated. And they are smart, they understand who is dangerous, and who is not, the best russains are not in their top, but these like Chuprakov are their favorite guys. For me it's hard to believe that there's not politics in WBO ratings.

To be fair it might not be a giant shadowy conspiracy as much as the real elite Russian amateurs going into the pros set their sights on the belts of the more prestigious "Big Three", while third-string guys like Happy Gilmore fight over the scraps in their wake. Chuprakov had been targeting & collecting WBO trinkets for a while so his ranking, from a sanctioning org point of view, makes total above-board sense...even if he was ultimately a lamb to slaughter in this epic mismatch.

in WBA(and IBF) are the best russians (or people who love that country, living there), looks like they give them chance to get to the highest places, while WBO for some reason give chance only to average guys from that country, like Chuprakov. He is not that good to give him a title fight. And he is not the first, and wouldn't be the last. That's what i'm talking about. One organization is "good" with weak russians, and not so "good" with the real deal russians, who wouldn't be humiliated. This is not how it should work.
I don't think the elite of russians don't want to go for WBO title, there is something that we don't know, why we see only the average fighters from that country in top rating of WBO.They also giving a chance to top ukrainians, so the ukrainians will gain a little more national pride.Klitshko also was given a chance by...WBO, in 1999(i just checked it, and was sure i will see again WBO).Now he is mayor of Kiev, and one of the main people in the coup after which the power in Ukraine was taken by anti russian ukrainians. It's ok they give chance to top ukrainians, they're good, but one nation, political friend of some west countries, is also "friend" of WBO"(have no idea what was happening with the dope test ot Klitshcko), while in the case with the other nation, WBO have allergy to their top boxers, not the whole nation, only top who can give them pride. These boxers from Russia, who will take many punches in their face in front of millions, these are good for WBO.
