After Oleg "I'm Russian Now" Maskaev, gets KO'd by Peter, will you place Sam on the level of a young Tua...???

Oleg fights like the Easties did when they were still losing all the time...that said, I look forward to watching Peter punish him.

Ok - you're wrong! :D Rahman is one of the few rated fighters I would pick Oleg to beat - because his chin makes Oleg look like George Chuvalo!!!

But Oleg has few, if any, advantages against Peter. His chin isn't close. Speed??? Neither guy is particularly fast. And I'm not sold on Oleg being all that more skilled, particularly since Peter seems to have made adjustments somewhat. Neither guy is gonna remind anybody of Ali any time soon, but since Peter has at acquired at least a passible jab - which was the main thing lacking in the Wlad fight - there really isn't much advantage for Oleg here. I'm also not that sold on Oleg as a heavy puncher. Knocking out Rahman isn't anything to crow about, considering how many times he's been starched.

When you boil this fight down, all things being equal, Peter has two key advantages - youth, which most likely means greater stamina, and a MUCH better chin. That will make the difference in this fight, and I expect Peter to blow Oleg away early, making it seem very much like the mismatch you protest it isn't. Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings. Believe me, I was rooting hard for Oleg to take Rahman out, and was quite pleased he did. But his time has passed. It's Peter Time now!:yep

    Go Maskaev!!!

Its highly unlikely that he wins, but Oleg has a puncher's chance against anybody.

Peter could also come in overweight and that could also lead to Maskaev winning a decision, so lets wait and see what happens.

You can speak for Maskaev alone there...remember the end of the 2nd Toney fight...Sam payed tribute, haven't seen that out of any of the other fighters that the KLIT-ite fans have mentioned as "Ali like." Not that Peter is Ali like, he just reminded us of Ali on that occasion.

The only possible similiarity between Ali and Peter is that they are both black and heavyweights.
Apart from that they share nothing similiar.

I, in fact stated that Peter is not "Ali like." If you saw the fight you would have an idea of what was being discussed. If you did see the fight, and are still making this comment...you should seek the attention you desire in the lounge.

Sam Peter has the better chin? When has he ever really been tagged by a heavyweight power puncher? By a gun-shy Wlad? Anyone else?

Oleg will be the first fighter to really test his jaw.

Sam has been hit flush by every heavyweight who has stepped in the ring with him. I'm not kidding. I love watching the guy fight and think he is the future but he eats punches all the time. To say his chin hasn't been tested is ridiculous.

    It's Maskaev, not Masquev.

And where'd you get that picture of Manny?
