I think if Maskaev come in with a smart gameplan and withstands the barrage in the first 3-4 rounds, he will win on UD something like 116-112.

    I think it is a 50/50 fight

I actually thought Peter did throw some fast straight punches in the second fight, he's not as bad as some people think and sometimes those awkward clubbing punches can be effective.

So, I see you've returned to your emotional style of posting...

Yes, Peter payed tribute to Ali at the end of the 12th...everybody clearly saw it, the fans cheered, the commentators remarked...wtf, is the problem...???...he clearly imitated ALI in a recognizable and playful manner. I'll state again for the over emotional...Peter is nothing like ALI.

Peter is not my only hope...if he loses he loses. I'm not in love with my favorite fighters, and will not be overly distraught if they lose...unlike some foolish KLIT-ites. That said Peter will hurt OLEG, who will show up with a "defeated before the bell even rings" aura about him. Like when the shell of Brewster climbed into a German ring recently.

Just be happy Maskaev is training. There is a chance he can be practicing the International Bum Fed's champion's strategy on defeating Peter...if so, we can look forward to OLEG holding and running all night...Trying not to get KO'd (not that it'll help).

I see you have directed your hate towards Oleg now.

I guess Wlad dissapoints you to often(by winning).

How can you call Toney the best pure boxer in the heavyweight division when he absolutely hasn't done **** in that very division? Best pure boxers dont consistently produce mediocre performances.

It's funny how a limited fighter like Maskaev is expected to beat a fighter who Wlad barely beat. Peter is a better fighter that the one that fought Wlad. I think that is why Oleg is already training. He knows his ass is grass and Peter is the lawnmower.

The only thing Peter did right in this fight was figure out that to beat James Toney (at least the fat HW version) is to keep him in the middle of the ring. If he had done that more in the first fight, he would have won a wide UD as well. The only thing Toney does well anymore is sit his fat butt on the ropes and counter. If you keep him off the ropes, he can be easily outboxed b/c he is too fat and lazy these days. So, not to discredit him, but I really don't take too much from that fight regarding Peter's boxing ability.

Well you can't be wrong all the time. Rahman was going to knock him out. Now Peter. Sonner or later you will get it right. For Peter's sake lets hope you got it right this time. If he looses he will be lucky to be on the undercard of friday night fights.
