    He may be better than some of those, but I wouldn't see any of those fights as dead certs for him. The big issue though is forcing this to happen, forcing it as another mandatory after he's done his mandatory.

    If memory serves me correctly, then Austin was the only mandatory one of those, and I think he won through the eliminators in a weak pool: fair enough, one mandatory a year is to be expected, and the quality of the contender coming through will vary, but Vitali isn't due another mandatory, and Maskaev hasn't won eliminators to be a mandatory opponent.

    To get all these title shots Maskaev must have a picture of the WBC president in a compromising position with a goat.

    No, after getting KOd by Sam Peter, Maskaev beats 40 year old tomato can named Robert Hawkins and now he is fighting Rich Boruff who is coming from two KO in the first 2 rounds.
    How in the name of Rocky Marciano and Joe Louis he is getting a title shot.
    I guess that Wlad will fight Jawn Ruiz.

    Save it...nobody needs a KLIT-ite telling them how to view the latest KLITschko attrocity.

    ...yeah, I'm sure Mr. WBC Emeritus had nothing at all to do with it...:roll: it's not like he was crying and trying to cut in line to get to Maskaev before, is it...??? :lol:

    You aren't far from the truth. Maskaev is suing the WBC and this is how they are trying to appease him. It makes a mockery of the belt, but it saves them money so what do they care.

    This is the result of a previous lawsuit. Dennis Rappaport had a lawsuit against Suliaman and the WBC for shady practices before the Maskaev/Peter fight mainly how the purse split was changed from 75/25 to 55/45 because the WBC made Peter the 'interim' champion.

    Instead of going to court and getting embarrassed Jose Suliaman offered Maskaev another WBC title fight for Rappaport dropping the lawsuit.

    Vitali had nothing to do with this.

    Some of you are talking out of your ass as usual and are clueless. Do a little research first for once.
