He's one of the sports greatest warriors right now. Taking a beating for a long time and yet he never backed away from the fight. If only his frame matched his heart, he would be a much better heavyweight but he shouldn't be ashamed of losing. He lost to the bigger and better man yet he showed an immense amount of courage along the way.

Poland can be proud. I hope he goes back to cruiserweight and deliver the titles that those fans in the arena deserve.

    Poland doesn't deserve anything.

    So glad Vitali destroyed him.

    Indeed.

This gives British fans a chance to reflect and compare with a fighter who lacks these qualities and whom they were supporting in a HW title fight a couple of months ago.

    blah blah bla,,,,

    Danny williams

    shannon briggs

    corrie sanders

    etc etc

all take these beatings from vitali

he chooses not to finish early

its not about SHEER toughness on the other guys part, no disrespect to Tomaz ( know hes tough since many years)

Vitali needs to finish a guy when he can

it makes boxing more exciting and less boring and stops the unecessary punishment of these guys

vitali steps off when a guys hurt simple as that

I agree. I expected the fight to go along those lines but some of the posts I've seen have been so disrespectful. I don't think some of the posters on here realise that taking jabs and power punches round after round is tiring in itself, more tiring than being the aggressor and throwing those punches. I'd like to see some of the posters here acknowledge that and stop saying Klitschko opponents simply give up, which has rarely been the case

Adamek fought the best he could just like any true warrior would do. He was overmatched but he got into that ring and he fought with the best unlike scores of others. He earned his respect.

I do agree with this. Tonight Vitali did step off. He could have finished that fight sooner.

Get a grip. His efforts were pathetic and a total embarrassment to the Heavy Weight division.

    That's the truth of it.

Adamek has no business int he HW division, tonight it more than showed.

We're supposed o feel sorry for Tomasz.

Yet Haye, who lasted the distance, took big punches and who landed better punches on Wlad than Adamek landed on Vitali, deserves nothing but contempt??
