You can be a coward in a lot of ways. You, for instance, can be a coward completely afraid of losing in your next fight, and quit boxing without even defending your belt. There are different kinds of cowards, and I dont know if tyson fury is one of them, but certainly it looks like one of them. It's very easy to get into the ring vs "the hardest puncher in the world", as you said, when you have not a lot to lose. Give me 5 millions, and you will see me doing it aswell. When he could lose, when the pressure came in, he shitted on his pants, quitted boxing and sniffed a stripe. Not very brave, at the very least. At least he could shut his big mouth up, but he has verbal diarrhea and cant stfu.
Lol, team Fury went around offering everyone peanuts and breadcrumbs, the idea that no one wants to fight Fury is laughable, everyone calls him out constantly, Dillian Whyte has been calling out both Wilder and Fury for years. They wont fight him, too high risk for them. The fact of the matter is Fury, like Wilder, has a very inflated self-worth for his boring style/star power and wont pay for a decent opponent when he can fight nobodies in safety first fights and fleece the US boxing sheep. You offer peanuts, you only get Tintin and Fat Albert style opponents while Hughie Fury fights the Russian superstar in what is an evenly matched very close fight.
Double standards with Tyson Fury.Folk would go on about Joshua who fought quality opposition, whereas Furys MO is to fight guys who have less than 20% chance of winning and this fine somehow. Even Wilder never was this bad with his opposition and his rematch with Ortiz carries some risk. I think with Fury it's obviously purely business as he doesn't seem interested in any belts.
Its pretty funny how hes promoted as 'lineal' champion when he beat the guy who never beat the guy then went into hiding for 3 years so he never had to fight that guy again. If there was ever such thing, I'd day Ruiz is lineal champ at the moment.
Well yes theoretically as I haven't seen him since Price.Needless to say with his pedigree his skill level was way above Hughie albeit the age factor could level it up.
It's a mute point that he chose to go into hiding, funny how the PEDs get washed under the carpet with him. After him testing positive and the hearing seeming to go on forever it's my opinion that those years away were his punishment for using roids.
There's never been a fighter like Tyson Fury, he's the only guy who's managed to convince everyone he's a world champion by simply claiming it. Say what you want about the alphabet soup, but when the former world champion comes back after a three year retirement, announces that he's somehow still the champ and is recognized as so by the media, promoters and networks, you know that boxing has reached a new low. To rub salt in the wound by fighting opponents so lacklustre they wouldn't even make Louis' bum of the month club while your cousin takes on a washed up but still competitive opponent, only makes things worse. It's guys like Tyson that are pushing people away from this sport, and if he beats Wilder or Ruiz he'll hold the belts hostage worse than AJ.
