currently id go with floyd b hop rigo. and in the near future terrance crawford will be in that category. and i actually think danny garcia has a chance of being one of them eventually.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. Andre Ward Guillermo Rigondeaux Bernard Hopkins Juan Manuel Marquez Terrance Crawford Miguel Cotto Canelo Alvarez Keith Thurman Danny Garcia
You know you're on a forum full of kids new to the sport when you see Canelo, and Thurman listed as "master boxers". Gotta love the general forum. Always good for laughs.
canelo outboxes most in his division. i'd add lara to that list as well. just because he got schooled by mayweather doesn't mean he isn't masterful. he's less masterful than floyd...but more masterful than most. same with thurman. do u not recognize skill when u see it? i've been involved in the sport for almost 40yrs of my life. i ain't new to this.
Considering there's literally COUNTLESS fighters in history more skilled than Crapnelo, it's pretty disrespectful to call him masterful. Same with Thurman, whom I'm a fan of.
if u notice...my list is of fighters are all modern day just like the thread starter. it's not disrespect to the 'countless fighters in history' at all. feel free to make your own list and educate some of the younger cats.
just noticed your list.... but i have to question why these three when clearly there are better fighters in history than them? benitez and locche i get....but kalambay? i don't know that i'd put him on the same level.
Kalambay is one of the most underrated pure boxers of recent times. He pitched a shut out over a prime McCallum, in one of the finest boxing clinics ever. He belongs.
he also got starched with one shot by michael nunn. it's been a while since i've heard his name mentioned. i need watch his fight with mccallum who i consider a very masterful boxer who was very underrated.
