Pavlik can fight on the inside, but also has the range and power to keep Hopkins off of him. I don't see a repeat of the Calzaghe fight.

Watch Steve Bunce's Boxing Hour with Pavlik, Hopkins, Calzaghe and Roy. Great stuff!

Do you guys realize that there's less than 2 weeks for this one?

As always, I'm getting excited for a Bernard Hopkins fight. But for first, he's so silent that I have to ask you guys... is he still alive? :D

Any info on training, shape, etc.?

What is it with the Hopkins nuthggers. He doesn't have boxing skills, he has boxing smarts. He stifles opponent and continually breaks the rules. He is the most frustrating boxer to watch, yet he is effective.

I am thinking that this fight can go three ways. The worst will be that it is a very close decision to 'Nard. He will frustrate Pavlik and steal rounds as he always does.

Second option will be that Pavlik overcomes the adversity of Hopkins and, like JC, comes away with a close but deserved victory.

Third, if Hopkins has aged and/or Pavlik is as good as he is hyped to be, his punches will wear Hopkins down like no-one has been able to, and he will KTFO Hopkins like he did with JT in their first fight.

Remember that JT beat Hopkins twice, albeit by the width of a hair. Not that this means much, but KP brings something more than JT. It will be a straight out assault of the one-two variety from KP. Hopkins might see it coming but the power and the ferocity may be too much for him at this age.

Likely UD to KP but I think a KP KO is on the cards to ends Hopkins' careeer.

Pavlik will not get held up by Hopkins like Calzaghe did and land a lot of huge shots, which will ware down Hopkins who will suffer a tenth round TKO.

    Maybe

I totally agree Pavlik has to attack the body. The X factor (pardon the pun) is what Hopkins will do offensively. I think Pavlik's jab is underrated, and I don't think Hopkins will make Pavlik's jab a non-factor. He was able to use it pretty well against Taylor and while Taylor's D is not what Hopkins brings to the table--- Taylor being younger has the better reflexes than Hopkins. I find it amazing that IMHO this is a pick-em fight for me and Hopkins is going on 44 years old. Hopkins will fight anyone--a real badass for the ages....

I like Pavlik on points. Hopkins will make pavlik make mistakes say first 4 or 5 rounds, but pavlik will get stronger and win on workrate.

I like Pavlik by decision, that's something to feel pretty comfortable with, but instead I'm going to pick Hopkins via upset. **** it. Besides, the odds are too good here to pass up.

I don't think Pavlik will be able to make 160 anymore after training his body to make 164 against Taylor and now 170 against Hopkins. Hopefully he can, but if not, that would derail a fight with Abraham for all the marbles at middle. Sure they could fight at super middle, but all the titles wouldn't be on the line (especially the only one that matters, lineal) and it would lose its luster a little.
