Completly agree with all of the above. Calzaghe - kessler is easily the fight of the year for me, two world class operators who have beaten everyone infront of them, was brilliant.

What a night, what a fight !

 

Taylor vs Pavlik, not just cos I'm a pavlik fan. But beacuse I thought the fight was exciting seeing Pavlik dropped then coming back to KO taylor. I also thought De La Hoya vs Mayweather was a good fight.

 

The three big fights between undefeated fighters had it for me (mayweather/hatton, taylor/pavlik, and calzaghe/kessler)

 

Fight of the Year, that I saw, was Pavlik vs Taylor.

It's almost impossible to choose just one. I'd say it's up in the air between:

Vazquez/Marquez II
Pavlik/Taylor
Pavlik/Miranda (I think everyone's forgetting how good this fights was)
Codrington/Bika
Katsidis/Amonsot

I could name a few more but I can't choose just one right now. :think

 

yep forgot about the earl vs katsidis fight, was awesome.

theres actually been so many amazing fights in 2007, hard to think of them ALL, just hope 2008 brings the same superb quality of fights. :bbb

 

2007 was literally one of the greatest years of boxing in a while... I'd be amazed if 2008 will be able to touch it. I wouldn't mind it, however. Haha

 

The biggest fights to be staged were obviously Hoya vs Mayweather, Mayweather vs Hatton and Calzaghe vs Kessler. The best fights were Pavlik-Taylor, Cotto-Judah and Vasquez-Marquez I & II. I personally liked Williams vs Margarito and Mosley vs Cotto.

Mosley vs Cotto was a superb matchup

 

Calzaghe v kessler for me, watched a few rounds last night and the standard was so high, any mistake was punished.
