I like Walcott over Conn. In addition to being a heavyweight with a good punch, I think he had the skill and craftiness to prevent Conn from getting the better of him on points.

I'd probably go with Nova over Buddy Baer, but say that with no real conviction. Not sure about the rest.

Walcott by KO. I like Conn a lot, but he's more of a light heavyweight, and I believe Walcott's strength would be too much for him.

I will go against the grain on Conn Walcott.

I fancy that Conn might beat Walcott on points much like Ezzard Charles did in their first two encounters.

    Picks.

Joe Walcott if he is focused

    Tommy Farr

    Buddy Bear

The other two matches don't mean much to me.

Charles was significantly heavier than Conn and bigger master boxers usually beat smaller master boxers. Is it right Conn was 167 against Louis, that would make Charles 15-20lbs heavier

Walcott was a master boxer, but he had a tedency to fight defensivley, which did not apeal to the judges of the period. Conn was the kind of technician, who tended to aply pressure, and smother defensive fighters.

I have a feeling that this might just work here.
