how would prime, middleweight Hopkins fare against todays middleweights?

    Martinez: IDK, would be close.
    Chavez: Hopkins by wide UD
Golovkin: Hopkins would cut it close like he usually does against efficent, dangerous fighters. I would go with hopkins here by a point or two.
    Geale: Hopkins comfortable ud
Pirog: Hopkins cuts it close, but clearly enough.
Quillin: Hopkins takes em to school.

I advise you to look back at hopkins' fights with calzaghe and taylor 2x for examples of the sort of hesitant, ultra careful style that caused him yo struggle with less talented opposition.

    Very harsh but fair.

The Hopkins that thrashed Trinidad would be favourite to beat these guys one way and another. I do think Martinez brings something interesting to the table for their fight but I think he would get handled in the straight.
