Could it happen? Suddenly Frank and Eddie are talking and have meetings arranged. From what i know (could be wrong) Eddie’s contract with Sky doesn’t have too long on it. BTs numbers are absolutely horrific for the boxing. DAZN UK is launching soon, and with what? Have they said what content they have. These 2 jointing would be massive news, be on talk shows etc of how they buried the hatchet. Then join together exclusively to DAZN UK?
The reason BT numbers are poor is explained as follows: 1. The BT Subscription numbers are nowhere near the level of Sly Sports. 2. The fights cards are poorly advertised (except Wilder v Fury). 3. Frank is a poor salesman compared to World Class Salesman Eh Day Hearn. 4. The general public these days don't bother viewing cards without a decent headline name.
The two merging would be terrible news for the fans. imagine Tesco bought Asda/Sainsbury’s. Competition just dies off, prices rise and end product diminishes. This is why I’ve been very receptive towards MTK whereas a lot of people have been critical due to certain figures who may or may not be involved. We need extra competition.
