Frank's not worried, he's about to announce an 8 year deal to have every show at the copperbox, there's no venue quite like it

Eddie's is a real rags to riches story. Truly inspiring.

This is great news for everyone, for most of my life the US was the mecca and the centre of the universe for boxing. Massive personalities, massive shows, lively and vociferous fans. The past decade or more has seen a huge decline in boxing due to all the top hyped fights being pay per view at ridiculous $. The world needs boxing to come back to America so I wish Eddie all the luck in the world if he can make it happen... and my money is on he will.

So at current conversion rates, a 12 month subscription would cost $120/£90.

So if you only watch the boxing, around 30 shows, you're paying $4/£3 a show.

Certainly brings more affordable pricing to the US.

    @Puroresu_Fan

    It's incredible really.

Sky - The only boxing provider
HBO - Most HBO dates of any promoter
Showtime - Still a deal in place with Joshua
DAZN - Huge $1 billion deal for shows in the UK and US

For years US fans have been fed with this 'You can't see X fight Y, because X is with Showtime' nonsense.....

Hearn is working with them all.

Wilder/Spence/Charlo's must be interested.....They could fight on 4 platforms.

Hearn is taking over the US market. Al Haymon on suicide watch. Wilder seen surfing online looking for pizza delivery jobs.

Haymon can earn out of this too if he allow Hearn the use of his fighters.

    What about Joseph Parker?

Surely he wants to stay relevant on the UK/US scenes.....Would be a wise move.

This deal could easily ''blow up'' in Hearn's and DAZN's faces.

Look at the Haymon PBC debacle. The ESPN deal they made with UFC is better for ESPN than DAZN's deal with matchroom is.

Boxing is a niche sport. the deal is 740 million british pounds which is great for matchroom but not potentially for DAZN.

I'm sure they'll get the new ''Mayweather'' type of star eventually outside of Joshua.

    Totally different situations.

PBC had to pay TV networks for TV slots. Hearn doesn't have to do this. PBC blew througj cash buyung up TV slots as well as ridiculous purses. money doesn't need to spent trying to find a platform. DAZN are using matchroom to help with there expansion into America which will see them pick up up other sporting events rights.

I don't know much about DAZN but i assume they have ''soccer rights'' i mean i dunno... I just think spending so much for boxing is a big risk just to get some leverage to pick up other sporting rights in america... Hopefully short term success is enough to persuade the nfl, nba,...etc....

There's gonna be more stiff competition in the streaming market... Netflix found that out with Amazon prime video and their numbers started to dwindle greatly.

I think they're taking a loss in the hope they'll gain enough exposure to get bigger, more profitable deals in the future.

I think people over-estimate the amount of money which can be made with a relatively new streaming service over a short period of time like 4 years or so.

I don't think Hearn will be unhappy... It's DAZN funding it... Hearn's a master persuader salesman... He can tell you Lucas Browne is in good shape, strong and ready to go to beat Dillian Whyte.

Do DAZN have a premier league soccer deal? ESPN have ESPN+, CBS have a streaming service,...etc...

The deal is great for boxing fans anyway.

Its not a lot of money in the scheme of things when premier league football costs 5 billion a year.

But every boxer in America will be trying to call Eddier Hearn right now. Its huge for boxing.
