I don’t know, mate. If it’s anything like the UK they’ll auction out the rights to the highest bidders.

Well all SKY cards will be shown in the US by DAZN so if US fans want to watch Joshua fight they'll need to sign up to DAZN for a good quality stream.

Also it's now clear why Hearn has been pushing the Joshua/Miller match up in the US, that could help a lot to get people to sign on for that first free month just to check out that fight.

I had the same thought, but given how much AJ earns how does he get him on a none PPV view card? Does he top load the budget, basically borrow from next years income and use AJ as a way to drive up sign ups in the short term? Does he give AJ a piece of the business? Or some slots for his nascent promoters career? It's an interesting business question.

If I were him I'd be tempted to get AJ on for the 2nd month. To give all those first month free subscribers maximum incentive to stay with the service. But do you raise false expectations? or does AJ continue to fight in the uk, bank the PPV there and is content to use Dazn as a channel to reach a wider US audience and make more from commercial partnerships there in the process?

    Hearn's a smart Jew.
    Gotta love him.

Amazon are a powerhouse, and it would be difficult to match their financial muscle. Having said that, DAZN isn’t a standalone company. It’s main shareholder is Access Industries, and that’s why they’ll have some financial power.

Here in Canada DAZN have rights to so many different sports including Champions League, Europa League, LA Liga, Copa Del Rey, League 1 and Championship (No Premier League as thats pretty much covered by TSN, Sportnet and NBC here) Ligue 1, Serie A, Argentine League, Brazilian League, they also have the NFL, most motorsport, most of the pro tennis circuits. Was $150 for the year and they also stream the Bein Sports channels. Add in the boxing for that and the cost for the year is a months cable bill.

Damn Eddie got this deal and didn't even have to guarantee AJ for DAZN.

    This content is protected

UK ppv's are not guaranteed for DAZN either.

Eddie confirms AJ staying with matchroom and announcement soon.

Hearn also confirms that with producing shows for DAZN they don't necessarily need to all he matchroom fighters on the card. They can use other fighters.

Yeah they wouldn't be guaranteed when you have a top rank or HBO fighter come over for example. That's natural.

Everything else will be fine for DAZN.

Positive news for uk sky customers is that they will get all the US cards. I bet however this will make sky less likely to pick up any of the other promoters US cards.

Which means Boxnation wont be getting outbid by Sky all the time so we still should get to see the better ones.

Once we see who hearn manages to sign the picture will be more clear.

Regarding boxnation.. once the UK fighters go on BT sport exclusive i can only see subscription cancellations.

Gonna be interesting to see what number of subscribers they have left. They may see bidding for US rights just not worth it

I think signs point to Boxnation closing in next few months. The BT deal says as much, as does the lack of logos on recent promos. Warren press releases reference Queensbury promotions. BN looks to be on borrowed time.

If anyone is going to pick up any US cards it will be BT who are putting significant resource into boxing via Frank Warren.

Fade into the background now that he's successfully bilked his investors for tens of millions of dollars.

Anybody who thought PBC was about taking over boxing and not a vehicle for generating risk-free cash for Al was missing the point.
