    3-0 Soto.

Rios is still the human punching bag he always was.

    Round 3

Ríos is getting lit up with counters but still managing to swathe plenty of leather over the grill of Soto, who doesn't have the legs to be as evasive as he could in his younger days. Soto is content to let his quicker and more educated hands give him the edge in the frequent exchanges, leaving Ríos to spend too much time reeling and blinking from the combos rattling his brain to generate much offense himself. Ríos keeps hurtling forward, eating jabs, hooks & uppercuts, while performing a cross-country skiing motion with both gloves straight from his own armpits into Soto's face. Both landing, but Soto more and much cleaner.

    10-9 Soto

    30-27 Soto

Rios doesn't look well to me. Just seems really unsteady and more plodding than even usual. I've heard rumors people say he was already showing signs of being punch, and seeing shot after shot bounce off his head makes me cringe. Honestly both men should retire, despite how good Soto looks.

Looks like we’re gonna be seeing the last of Rios tonight too. I don’t see anyway Garcia would look Brandon in the eyes and tell him he should continue fighting if this doesn’t turn around

He oughtn't even need to, can't imagine this going another eight without a towel being thrown or the ref saying enough.

But we never got the grudge match with Victor Ortiz. :ohno:

    They're pretty much equally shot.

    Soto 4-0.

Rios got buzzed around the 1 min mark and buzzed at the end of the round. Rios' shots don't seem to have any mustard on them. He throws a lot of ineffective pitty pats that don't have much of an effect.
