Velasquez showing his amateur experience and background, he wasa a highly decorated amateur btw, won two gold medals at the PAN American games in 2011, 2015 and also participated at the 2016 Olympics. First round is all Velasquez, great body work and hooks.

    Round 1: 10-9 Velasquez
    Round 2: 10-9 Velasquez

Sharp jab by Velasquez. Snapping Villanuevas head back a few times. Big left hooks to the head and the body by Velasquez. He's dominating while Villanueva is missing wide with his shots. Velasquez landed some huge shots.

    Round 1: 10-9 Velasquez
    Round 2: 10-9 Velasquez
    Round 3: 10-8 Velasquez

The left hook is doing some nasty damage here, he's shaking Villanueva with two or three short left hooks, landing a good jab afterwards and another right hook. Villanueva tough as nails eating all those shots pretty comfortable. But he's hiding beind a low guard, those body shots might do some damage and Velasquez landing big shots to the head aftterwards, Villanueva hurt, wobbling backwards but he still hanging in there although he's eating powerful shots and 30 seconds before the bell he's dropped by a huge combination but coming back and getting hammered immediately by Velasquez. Bell saves him from further damage.

    Round 3: 10-8 Velasquez
    Round 4: 10-9 Velasquez

While letting his hands go Villanueva is finding the target but he isn't doing this often. Velasquez hammering the body with hooks, combined with head shots, really good work, also moving very well, cutting the ring and coming from the middle. I like what i see. Velasquez looks like a really good prospect. Huge overhand right landing clean, Villanueva wobbling backwards but coming foward immediately, he's a tough mofo tbf, he's reacting well to all those shots although i don't know if it's good that he's taking such a punishment at age of 18. Velasquez landing a few big shots at the inside after Villanueva found the target with an uppercut seconds before the bell.

Those left hooks are unreal. They looking ****ing awesome. He jumps in with those and throws them perfectly timed to the head. Villanuevas corner looks like they want to throw the towel in, the corner wants the stoppage and they get it: The ref steps in as Velasquez chasing Villanueva who barely defenses himself. Good stoppage. No reason to take further damage.

    Round 1: 10-9 Quirino

Quirino started very well, Cordova came strong in the last minute and raised the pressure but Quirino still took the round with his clean work before.

    Round 1: 10-9 Quirino
    Round 2: 10-9 Quirino

Horrible defense by Cordova. If Quirino would have some pop this would be already over. He's tagging Cordova with big shots but without any damage.
