MATCHROOM CARDS ARE GASH!!!!

It was eggington in a comeback fight and moving up in weight.

Fowler a 5-0 novice.

I’m not sure what you’re expecting but it certainly weren’t going to be two 8 round wars.

It is a poor card in general though and I’m judging it on what it is not what I’d like it to be.

 

I know they were useless. I told the whole forum days ago that both cards today are shite.

 

Sky Sports have been using their news channel to tell you brass is gold for years. It's Sky's financial muscle and ability to generate public interest along with Anthony Joshua that has brought British boxing to the level it is, not the Hearns. I'm personally tired of seeing 50-1 underdogs get sparked out on Matchroom bills time after time.

 

Well at least it's a payday

 

BT should have better bills as they don't have many bills so can stockpile there best fighters till they have bills. Must do half the shows Sky does per year.

 

There is a point. It gets you back active again, gets you in a training camp, sparring, something to aim for, wages, back on winning ways for the likes of Eggington or more professional experience for the likes of Fowler.

These 1/100s happen with every promoter too, not just matchroom.

 

I’m sat at home watching boxnation at present. If you looked at the other thread you would know.

 

As much as I'm loving the resurgence of boxing and the backing from Sky, I'm beginning to have little interest in any Matchroom boxing prospect in a complete mismatch. I'd rather see more 50/50 fights and keep the mismatches for NextGen...

Just an opinion, I really enjoyed the Jonas fight and Marsha v Coyle.

 

Worked out perfectly. Got to watch pretty much all of both cards!
