No Frank ****** had him an easy defence against Luke Blackledge in November at the Echo and he never wanted that. Tbh i don't know what Smigga wants, but if he thinks he can just walk into a world title shot then he has another thing coming because it doesn't work like that nor should it. Fielding would be the logical fight, and then the European title.
Luke Blackledge is a decent fighter he isn't a walk over for Smith, of course Smith should and very likely will win but it isn't a joke fight
Not a bad card if that would be it. But, does Brook really need another tune up fight? He's obviously ready for a world title shot now. If Crolla, Rose (Maybe against Andrade) and Quigg defending his belt are at the MEN then that's another decent little show lined up, especially since I'm guessing there will be a few other domestic fights booked as well. Throw in Mitchell against somebody decent on one of the cards too.
It's not a tune-up fight, more of a stay busy fight. He will have too long to wait until the mandatory comes up.
Hearn needs to push for the Porter fight in the first 6 months of this year, another camp another non title fight increases the risk of injury again-which is the very last thing Brook needs
I agree! The funny thing is Hearn has until the end of the month to come to an agreement with Porter before it goes to purse bids, but Hearn is planning to put Brook out in a 10 rounder in March in Liverpool :huh. It sounds like they don't want the Porter fight to me.
See what's the source on this 10rounder that was mentioned earlier in the thread as it might be total speculation. Either way though if Eddie doesn't get the Porter deal signed then questions need to be answered-who doesn't want it Brook or Hearn etc
That fight will happen later in the year. Hearn wants it as a final eliminator which won't happen for a while
