Porter won't come to the uk voluntary. Alexander has a rematch clause and Porter wants Maidana. Mandatory won't be called for 6 months so they have to protect the mandatory position whilst keeping Brook active. The last Hearn interview he stated he needed to keep Brook active

 

No he didn't. He said he wants that fight in Hull this year but won't be happening next. They both have IBF baubles so couple more wins each it's conceivable it's a an eliminator.

However Brook could go to America if that would bring the fight closer.

This could all take a while to sort out then if Porter wants Maidana since he will be waiting to see if Floyd picks up the phone and chooses him for May.

If Porter does get Maidana and loses his title though...will Brook chase Marcos or will Maidana then fight Floyd in September, hmm many permutations

Brook needs a competitive fight inbetween though, no point in a gimme as his title shot might not even happen this year

 

Maidana defo one big win away from Floyd if he holds two world titles at WW then he's got a shot IMO. I think porter could beat Maidana tho

Another thing Coyle needs a few more wins alright be for he's conceivable for a British eliminator never mind the IBF.

 

Coyle has the IBF international belt. It means diddly squat other than he can be pushes up there ranking quickly. With Mitchell holding the IBF intercontinental it just needs Cogle to get a ranking to be made into an eliminator. Hearn has said the fight needs to mean something or be for something to happen.
