This is the good thing about DAZN coming into the market. More competition means every promoter and network will need to spend more money.

Also means the talent is spread so thinly across promotional stables / networks.

If you combined a few fighters from each of this weekends Probellum, Boxxer & Matchroom cards you’d be able to have a decent card.

As it is you’ve got three fairly weak ones…

I don’t understand the notion that more promotion companies and boxing being shown on more channels is good for boxing. Talent is here there and everywhere which means less decent fights are made.

Agreed. In the UK we now have Matchroom, Queensberry, Boxxer, Probellum, Wasserman, Hennessy. 6 promoters sharing UK fighters. Makes for very poor cards.

Recent history shows a Matchroom monopoly would be very bad news for boxing fans.

The price of DAZN UK monthly sub will rocket up year by year for two standard UK Sky Sports cards per month with any decent fight being shown on DAZN UK Box Office for £29.99.

Price Changed - coming in August.

They've never got made with just one person having a monopoly either. Eddie couldn't make AJ/Wilder, Wazza couldn't get Joe in with a world class guy until they were old men.

This isn't a situation that would be solved by one outfit being at the helm. Boxing promoters don't think like the guys in MMA do when they run the show (UFC). It's the lack of co-operation between platforms.

Have a choice to spend more money. Not forced too.
