Matchroom -Sky Sports exclusive deal killing the sport

    the exclusive deal is a disaster for everyone except hearn

    sky obviously taught by given hearn an exclusive deal it would give him the power to create a monopoly over british boxing and give the fans top quality shows almost every other week

    Hearn instead has decided to put only terrible quality mismatches on regular sky and anything marginally better is ppv!

    if it wasn't an exclusive deal you would have war.ren etc able to put shows on sky and if there shows made hearns ones look like the **** they are while costing the same or less, hearn would then get a stern telling off for his bad shows. But this doesn't happen and eddie has free reign and everything is getting dumbed down

    I think the breaking point is Joshua vs whyte being ppv. that's insane, two british level prospects are now ppv? ffs Chisora vs Fury 1 (a better matchup) was on free tv!

    a sky sports package is dear enough without being expected to fork out 17£ for every half decent show. I feel Hearn Snr holds a lot of sway over sky and boxing is getting truly screwed so sky can have the monopoly over darts(which is very popular)

    Hearn wouldn't have got the deal had Fish Eyes and the rest been offering a quality product. The cards pre-Hearn were far worse.

    He sells out arenas, huge stadiums, has casuals interested and has a stable of potential future superstars.

    To say he holds a lot of sway over Sky shows how ignorant you are. He's a man whose company is solely reliant on the relationship they've built with Sky. They need Sky, not the other way around.

    He's still a ****-taking ***** however.

    Groves v degale was ppv on sky. Eddie had nothing to do with that. Nothing has changed bar the fact we get more boxing.

    It was ppv on boxnation and cost lot less than a sky ppv, was like 5£ I think

    You are completely wrong. It was a Sky PPV fight, same as Khan vs Prescott that Fish Eyes put on.

    Err, the main reason anyone has Sky Sports, Premier League football amongst many, many other sports.

    ****** made the choice to leave sky and setup boxnation. if matchroom never had an exclusive sky deal you still wouldnt see ****** putting his cards on sky.

    why would he do that, he would be killing his own tv network.

    1) The Prem is all over BT, too.
    2) What sports? All the big Tennis, Rugby games are on Euro-Sport and ITV.
