Heard Eh Day on Sky stating that he could not offer Tony Dosh PPV £10m LESS for his next fight without a crowd - the total figure per fight must be huge.

Hope this comes to fruition. It will be interesting with regards to the purses.

 

Yeah the pay is a joke at the UFC. Power is in the brand not the fighter so they don’t get paid fairly. Something that does bug me as well.

 

Don't get all the negativity. I, for one will be absolutely delighted to have some boxing on the telly to watch. I really hope this works out.

I read somewhere a couple of years ago that the Sky boxing season runs from September to June. Therefore by running four shows in August it will keep Sky happy. Have any of these shows been confirmed as being on PPV?

Povetkin I suspect will command a massive fee as essentially he is fighting in the opposing promoters back garden. Any away fighter will be wary of fighting in such conditions unless they are paid well over the odds.

This seems to me to be Hearn panicking over breaking his contract with Sky and having to pay them back millions in rights fees. Fair play to him but August is a long way away and news can move quickly against such a plan.

 

I really want this to happen, I just hope I dont get charged a score to watch dross

From what I can GLEAN you aren’t a boxing fan you’re a matchroom fc / sky sports season ticket holder.

 

Oh well, this will be interesting.
Eddie's mum will be bringing out some orange squash and cucumber sandwiches between bouts.
Fighters will be warming up with a few rounds of swingball.

No I'm a boxing fan. I just don't **** on everything Matchroom does like some posters on here.

I enjoy watching boxing and I'm glad live boxing is back be it under any promotion . I can't understand why so called boxing fans would be negative about the prospect of watching live boxing again.

 

Whats that often used phrase about dull fighters which would be very apt here? "i would shut the curtains if those two were fighting in my back garden". Quite possibly gonna happen.
