Zamora is out he can't get into UK!. El Ouazghari comes in. You may remember the name..

He fought John Murray at York Hall, Bethnal Green in a rough and rugged fight in which he troubled Murray. Murray would then go onto lose to Mitchell that same year.

He did have a fight lined up (6 rounds) and has lost earlier this year to Fedchenko via UD. Fedchenko fought Juan Manuel Marquez a while back.

I think this knocks the cards quality back somewhat. I can see this being a messy brawl of a fight but it is a short notice fight. A somewhat solid card now looks like it's reliant on the trade fights and Bundu vs Purdy. Could either be entertaining brawls or a very drab end to a quality year of boxing in Britain.

I think it's now a very average card with this fight falling through and Joshua being injured (not sure who Smith faces). I think now it can be thoroughly slated with the Zamora issue being inexcusable. Shame because the nearer it got the more i was looking forward to Zamora vs Mitchell. Zamora may have troubled him with his size and strength.

Yes, bring back those halcyon days of Commonwealth title fights in half empty leisure centres...

Looking down through the card it's the worst I can ever remember for a Sky card.

Absolute crap. About one 50:50 fight on the whole card.

I'm starting to understand what trade fight means. Trade fight = Shite fight.

The fact Mandanda is still defending this card is demonstration he is either deluded or on Matchrooms payroll. It's amazing how Eddie can keep these muppets on a string.

If anyone still trys to defend this card then have a look on boxrec, All the fights have 1 star ratings expect Purdy's that has a 4 star rating. That is the only good fight on this card the rest is utter ****, even FW would have put on a more even card no doubt Fast car wanted to have a cheap end of the year.

In fairness the Boylan and Floyd Moore fights are fairly even, as is the Cassius Connor fight. It's the fights before the main event that could surprise, D-level fighters brawling it out will save the card.

Well actually, Ochieng, Murray and Mitchell fights are all 2 stars, but yeah let's just ignore those to support your argument.

It isn't the greatest card though I agree. Will watch Hull until 7.30 and then from 8 onwards I will be flicking between the darts, sky boxing and Braehmar card on boxnation, Hope that fight doesn't clash with Purdy as they are pretty much the only fights I am interested in

 Still defending it?. Trolling again i see.

So this card is worse then Friday fight nights from the local leisure centre's?. Or worse then the Olympia bill earlier this year?.

I expect you not to answer. The agenda continues etc. Funny thing is if you read my post you'd see i'm not defending it but you either can't read or don't want to hence your agenda. Just hope Frank and the boys pay you mate. I hope you don't do this voluntary for them..

Anyways looking forward to Owen vs Boylan. Stuck in the middle somewhat..

Trained as a kid with Boylan and i know people who are mates with Owen.

Bundu vs Purdy is going to be interesting. Bundu has had issues getting here but looked good on scales. Purdy supposedly punching really hard in training but Bundu has looked like a potentially world class operator.

Mitchell's fight is meh. Could be very messy...

Forgot to add the Murray fight was 2 my mistake, the old mitchell fight was 1 they must have changed it since change of opponent. Lets be fair aswell though two stars is still very poor, a card full of 1 and 2 star fights is very poor.

Yeah it's gone downhill really. It's the problem when you lack the depth on the card in terms of major fights and rely on the trade fights. If your not in the trade or don't know the sport well you're going ''wtf!'' and getting annoyed by it like a few have on here.

But not all shows can be stacked so he's tried to rely on two interesting European level bouts for the Esse x boys but not all the pressure is on the Purdy fight now. If he added another quality fight it would be a good card but then again he runs a business and has other shows to look at in 2014.

In terms of a domestic card (forget the promoter and tv) it's still solid domestic card with some good 50/50 fights. But to the wider audience tonight is a ''who's he?'' type night and will get low figures probably. You talk a card up and it doesn't deliver then you deserve flack and i'm sure Eddie will get that coming tonight. He's in a different position to other promoters he's got a name and talked up quality of cards etc.

Then again this is a great chance for someone to make a name for themselves.

You're the troll. You've been defendng the indefensible. To say you haven't defended the card is further demonstrating you couldn't 'lie' straight in bed. How many posts in this thread have you written defending the card.....10 maybe 15.

What I am saying is being backed up on this thread and elsewhere.

The card doesn't even come up to thread bare status. The Olympia card was also very poor but Froch v Groves signing to fight covered that up.

No point in comparing this card to other promoters as Eddie is the man who said he will introduce new standards in British boxing promotion. Eddie promised the earth moon and stars and delivers this weak effort!!!

As I said Wazza's card last week was better.
