For a guy who never stated boxing til he was 17 only haveing 15 amature fights, he has made a good career for himself and is on a great run, he had some defeats early on while learning his trade but has really found his form and should become ibo champion tonight. For me mathew would beat michael jenning's but i couldnt see him beating kell brook

His current run is not impressive.

Look at the records of the guys he's recently beat.

Look at the records of the guys they have beaten and lost too.

    It is horrific.

Remember Jamie Moores run until his last fight.

Hatton has been promoted even more skillfully, and is in against a former genuine world class operator.

Ben tackie was a former world title challenger, and ted bami was a former european champion that is impressive

But he got schooled by Watson before that...Tackie is well past it and doesn't have the desire anymore and Bami didn't exactly look great in Prizefighter, although Bami is probably his most impressive win...

If that version of Tackie wobbled Hatton and troubled him throughout the second half of their fight, Lovemore should wear him down and KO him.

The referee in that fight also took his own life a week later.

Toby Gibson a referee for the Nevada State Athletic Commission, commited 'suicide' on Nov. 24, 2008, as confirmed by the NSAC. The cause of death was determined to be carbon-monoxide poisoning. He was 61 years of age. Just a few days prior to his 'suicide', on Nov. 22, he refereed two fights. One of the fights was between Matthew Hatton (Ricky Hatton's younger brother) and Ben Tackie, on the undercard of Ricky Hatton vs. Paul Malignaggi.

''A win will be Matthew Hatton's biggest achievement in his career to date. A good performance alongside it could open the doors to some big fights for the Manchester man against the likes of Miguel Angel Cotto, Shane Mosley or Andre Berto.''

    Read this on Boxrec tonight.....

    unbelievable.

Yes, I admit I have under-rated Matthew Hatton.

I used to think he was just a *****, but now I realise that he is a massive *****.

Tackie is well past it, all he's got left is his durability. He's lost something like his last 10 fights.
