That's the magic of Kerry Kayes.

Look what he did with Hatton for years.

With Moore v Piccirillo, Jamie was signing his praises on here.

@ Scurla - He's training with Joe Gallagher. He had a brief spell with Buddy McGirt and Paddy Lynch. He's floated around with trainers lately.

Kayes work with boxers has not appeared detrimental in anyone yet. He seems to make them physical specimens. Not the stereotypical slow, muscle bound, unfit fighters.

Kayes definitely knows what he's doing when it comes to nutrition, keeping Hatton in shape the way he did was nothing short of a miracle.

The people that **** on Kayes are the ones that tend to know nothing about sports nutrition or strength conditioning.

Don't think it's just the Brittish ones, I've always thought Manny Steward tries to make every boxer he trains into a clone of Lennox Lewis.

I would agree with that in most era's but other than the current champions I don't see many middleweights who do look like potential World titleists. If Pavlik, Abraham or both do move up to SMW it will leave doors open for the likes of Macklin.

He's still only 26 and could still improve more, especially if he hasn't been with his current trainer for long.
