Thursday in Lille, airing live on RMC Sport1 in France. WBA Intercontinental light heavyweight title at stake, apparently having been vacated by Pierre Hubert Dibombe some time since last May. :nusenuse:

Bauderlique, a tall action-hero southpaw and bronze medalist at the Olympics in Rio, is coming off a thrilling come from behind kayo victory against Patrick Bois in December on the Anderson Prestot vs. Robert Świerzbiński & Christian M'Billi Assomo Hallier vs. Ilya Kharlamou televised undercard. His opponent, a 35 year old Moroccan-Spaniard currently residing in Cataluña, has but two recognizable & commendable results on his ledger: a draw with Dariusz Sęk in 2016, and before that a 2½ minute blitz of former English 175lb champion Travis Dickinson in 2015.

In the co-main event, Yvan Mendy continues rebuilding his career in the wake of losing to Luke Campbell in their rematch. His opponent for the WBA Intercontinental lightweight title (which also seems to be vacant like its light heavyweight counterpart) is Hakim Ben Ali, who is a 2-division former Belgian national champion but has lost to lesser men than Mendy. After putting this feather in his cap, the Lion should be looking to increase the level of his competition if he wants another crack at Campbell in a trilogy-deciding rubber-match (or even if he just wants to repair his domestic standing and get out from under the shadow of Bauderlique, somebody who just a year ago would have seemed privileged to be in a chief supporting bout on a Mendy card...)

Bauderlique is getting slept on for some strange reason, he's a very good prospect. Much better than some guys who get spoke about a lot like Yarde for example.

He was a ****ing BEAST in the APB which shows his potential in the pros, he was the 'APB world champion - beating some top names, in particular he knocked out Joe Ward.

Thank you for the couple of rare non-trolling posts, @Grime Rockstar alt #4,325. :D

(too bad you won't be around for it, but I'll give you a shout out tomorrow on the RBR thread if Bauderlique wins impressively. :Laie_22mini:
