:good:good Floyd can not afford to fight anyone comming from below 147...at this point if its not a legit 147 or 154 pounder...its just not necessary. I mean people have issues with him and RG right now and RG has won a tittle at 147...hatton as well....it just never works in Floyd's favor when fighting a fighter comming up.
come on man. You can't complain if Lucas or anybody wins the 140 tourney. Floyd isn't a massive WW himself either.
these guys weigh the same and maybe even more than floyd on fight night. whats the big deal. there arent many options at 147 currently
Matthysse and Peterson weigh more. I think Garcia and Khan are around the same weight on fightnight. Judah may be smaller though
I hope Lucas gets a nice payday since he got robbed by both Alex and Judah. It would be an entertaining match imo.
If he beat all those guys at 140 I could honestly see them saying he's ready to move up to 147, and since he's shown he's THE guy at 140 he deserves to move up with a title shot. I'm not sold on the fight yet, as I'm not sold on him beating all those 140 guys. But if he does and it's not barely scraping by them, let's see who Floyd has available around then. Other fighters have moved up in weight class and been given a title shot immediately after showing dominance in a lower weight, it's a possiblity.
Is this what has become of fans like you? Being satisfied w/ a fighter taking challenges from guys moving up? If Mathysse won this fictional 140 tourny, he'd still have no solid wins at 147. Is that what you want to see one of the best fighters take on? Floyd may not be a massive WW, but he's big enought to have fought and capture a couple of belts in the division above. Sick and tired of top fighters constanty looking at contenders from the division below.
