http://news.boxrec.com/news/2011/br...ply-hatton-towers-matthew-sees-plans-go-smoke Sorry if something's been done on this already...I couldn't see it, if so. Would have been easier not to speak out, I suppose but he must be royally pissed off. Then again, that match against Alvarez was certainly pulled out of the bag by his promoters.
Ungrateful ****er - if his brother wasnt who he is, he would be plodding around fighting for area titles infront of 40 people
Thats fair comment....however his vitriol seems to be aimed at the promo company rather than his brother. If what has been reported is true then he has every right to be completely ****ed off.
Crap article. There's not one quote where Matt even mentions Ricky. Plus we all know that Ricky isn't really the one making all the decisions. As for Matt Hatton thinking he's due a world title fight :lol/
He doesn't wanna start biting the hand that feeds him though.....he's got a few decent opponents on his record that he probably wouldn't have got a sniff of if not for big bro
I'm calling it now - Matty Hatton vs Floyd Mayweather......in February......in Blackpool! Now if you'll excuse me i've gotta get this pig flying business off the ground.
He's not rubbish at all. He was about four years ago, I'll concede that. He's entitled to be pissed about this though, putting in the hard graft only to be denied the title fight, with the double whammy of losing the payday too. I'd imagine he did alright out of the Alvarez fight mind.
Pish. He's a fair domestic operator in his own right. I really don't think he's benefited from Ricky's fame with too many undue opportunities that he wouldn't have otherwise earned had he been an only child.
There was an article about this weeks ago at the scene. Hatton was claiming he was fighting this guy but El Massoudi's manager said he was fighting Dimitry Salita instead. It's poor that this never got sorted out, Matt should be annoyed especially as he's got no fight at all now.
The article is just trying to stir up ****. Hatton did a full training camp and the fight gets called off. Every fighter out there would be pissed off. He won his euro fights so he's done his bit. Ricky wasn't in the ring winning those fights for him was he.
He's criticising the team, the way it was handled...the team who, every time they send out a release remind us that Ricky is the boss. I'm sure he wouldn't have a pop at Ricky directly, just as I'm sure that he's really grateful to him, over all.
