anyone seen this Saul “Canelo” Alvarez fight? would he beat Magic Matt? has he got ginger hair? he must be close to a world title shot

    from fightnews

Looks like hot Mexican prospect Saul “Canelo” Alvarez will be fighting WBA welterweight champion Vyacheslav Senchenko on March 5 with potential sites places being Las Vegas, Los Angeles or a city in Texas. Other sources indicate that the details aren’t finalized, and if the fight isn’t ultimately made there is the option Euro champ Matthew Hatton. “Canelo” has confirmed the March 5 date.

beating is too kind of a word to describe the hell a domestic level fighter like hatton would endure

Weird him fighting at welter he's only recently gone up to light middle. Alvarez vs Hatton ain't a contest. I'd rather see Hatton vs Brook which Brook would smash him in my eyes.

Alvarez shows all the signs of being one of the guys the next decade is going to be remembered for. Hatton has improved a bit, but has needed a combination of a famous brother, luck, generous judges and referees and repeated bites of the cherry to reach top domestic level. It'd almost certainly be a complete distruction.

Hatton gets battered badly IMO. He also gets beat by brook convincingly.

    Hatton would get dismembered.

    It wouldn't even be close.

Not really that sure on Canelo but he absolutely canes Hatton, no doubt.

Mad Matt is a bum journeyman wanker his fights are unwatchable.

Alvarez beats him nearly to death without getting his ginger hair sweaty

Total mismatch - this fight should never happen. Canelo is the real deal whilst Hatton is domestic level GB at best. Saul is a Mexican with an Irish Mother ...wins early against the brit. This guy would take both Hattons on the same night.

    :patsch Get ****ed.

Hatton will do quite a few rounds with Alvarez IMO. He's only Euro level though, and Alvarez has already beaten better oppo, so I'd favour him to pull away with it late and land a nice left hook and put him away.

Matthew would beat Brook IMO, who hasn't really impressed me at all.
